The two-day Gender in the Economy meeting, sixteen papers across two recordings. No discussants at any session; questions ran through the long talks, and the day-closing egg-timer slots held theirs for the reception.
Day 1’s recording covers the afternoon only — the four morning papers were not posted, and I could not find a separate recording of them. It runs from faculty sexual misconduct and the intergenerational transmission of gender-based violence through co-parenting after divorce and beliefs about separation, then three short talks on masculinity norms, child penalties inside the World Bank, and commuting.
Day 2 runs the full day: child penalties in time use, the fertility–marriage–equality trade-off, informality and motherhood in Brazil, night-shift bans and breadwinning norms in India, childcare defaults in Zurich, infertility fears in Zambia, land reform in China, and female-targeted hiring subsidies in Italy.
Three papers have no circulating draft and say so on their pages; those explainers are written from the recording, in one case supplemented by the conference slide deck.
